Seward

Seward, at the head of Resurrection Bay on the eastern side of the Kenai Peninsula, was founded in 1903 to serve as an ice-free ocean terminal port for the Alaska Railroad. The town was completely rebuilt after the earthquake in 1964.

We operated Field Day with the Seward Amateur Radio Club, KL7SWD, from the softball field in Seward.

The Alaska Sea Life Center has interesting birds and marine life.
